As described. The stitching and zippers seem good. There are two layers of padding. One layer is sewn into the outer shell. It feels like 5mm of high density foam. The other is a supplementary layer of egg crate foam that is loose inside the bag and can be removed if not needed. Good enough to protect my rifle on the way to the range.
